Pain relief, restored mobility and improved muscle function

Myofascial Release

A specialized manual technique that works on the fascia to reduce restrictions and muscle tension and to support mobility and physical comfort.

Therapist applying myofascial release to the back area

Myofascial release is a specialized manual technique that works on the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, tendons and other structures of the musculoskeletal system. Changes in this tissue can restrict movement, increase muscle overload and contribute to persistent pain and functional limitations.

Through gradual pressure and specific maneuvers, the technique reduces fascial restrictions, supporting better tissue mobility, decreased muscle tension and restored range of motion. Each session is individualized, taking into account the clinical assessment and the needs of each person.

Benefits of Myofascial Release

  • Helps reduce muscle and myofascial pain
  • Improves mobility and range of motion
  • Reduces muscle tension and tissue stiffness
  • Supports functional postural alignment
  • Contributes to muscle recovery
  • Promotes greater physical comfort and quality of movement

Who it is for

  • People with persistent muscle pain
  • Myofascial trigger points
  • Limited mobility
  • Muscle stiffness caused by daily routine or sports practice
  • Tension in the spine, neck, shoulders, hips and lower limbs
  • People who want to improve the quality of their movement and reduce muscle discomfort

Important information

Myofascial release has specific indications and contraindications. It is not recommended in cases of recent fractures, dislocations, acute muscle injuries, intense inflammatory processes, thrombosis, infections, fever or in the immediate post-operative period, unless clearance is given by the physician in charge.

Each session is preceded by an individual assessment to define the most appropriate technique and to ensure safety throughout the treatment.
